14km Film and Discussion Series (2015)

14km.org stands up for exchange and understanding between both neighbouring regions north and south of the Mediterranian Sea, in order to reduce the symbolic distance the Strait of Gibraltar (14km) sets. Since 2013 four film and discussion events per year had been organised about current topics on single states in North Africa or the Middle East.

The successfull 14km Film and Discussion Series continued in 2015 with 8 events in Berlin. This project got sponsorship by budgetary funds of the Federal State of Berlin – Office for Development Cooperation.

The events were dedicated to a single country or specific topic, in order to give an artistic-documentary impression. The ensuing audience discussion aimed to include further information by an affected person living in Berlin and by a scientific expert.
